Can a car be left in another country, whether due to registration, theft, or, God forbid, an accident? What are the procedures? What is the club's role in this situation? Does theft or destruction of the car in an accident exempt it from customs dut
What is the permitted duration for leaving a car outside?
The permitted stay for a vehicle in any country varies from country to country and from one nationality to another, but is generally three months. This period is renewable in some countries with the approval of their customs authorities.
Renewal is granted for special circumstances such as medical treatment, study, or other reasons deemed acceptable by the customs authorities of that country.
