Issuance of the Carnet de Passages and the International Driving Permit through our electronic services.

You can issue a Carnet de Passages or an International Driving Permit through our website by accessing the “Issue International Carnet” or “Issue International Driving Permit” service, filling in all your personal and vehicle information, and then visiting one of our offices to obtain the carnet or permit.

“Traffic”: These are the requirements for issuing a driving license for women.

The General Directorate of Traffic stated that the procedure for issuing a driving license for women is clear and simple, in accordance with the executive regulations of Article 36 of the Traffic Law. It requires anyone applying for a private driving license to be at least 18 years old.

“Traffic”: Tinting violations will be applied to all violators, men and women, and these are the regulations for window tinting.

The General Directorate of Traffic confirmed that female drivers will not be exempt from certain traffic violations, such as window tinting. It stated that the royal decree was clear in applying the Traffic Law and its executive regulations equally to both men and women.

About Us

Saudi Automobile Federation (SAF) is a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), which represents more than 230 automobile and motorsport clubs in over 130 countries worldwide.

The Saudi Automobile Federation (SAF) was established in 1988 under the presidency of Mr. Saif bin Fahad Al-Subaie.

Through its offices across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, SAF provides Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) and International Driving Permit (IDP) services, facilitating international travel for members and the general public with their vehicles through this extensive network of affiliated clubs.

The FIA aims to promote safe, sustainable, and accessible mobility for all, while supporting motorists and advancing the interests of road users worldwide.

The Saudi Automobile Federation is also a member of the Alliance Internationale de Tourisme (AIT) and the Arab Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTAC).
