From online application to same-day airport delivery, the Saudi Automobile Federation is making international travel documents faster, safer and more convenient.

The Saudi Automobile Federation (SAF) has taken a major step forward in modernising its International Driving Permit (IDP) and Carnet de Passages en Douane (CPD) services, creating a fully digital experience designed around the needs of today’s travellers.

Customers can now complete the entire process online from submitting their application and required documents to making payment without the need to visit the Federation’s offices. Once issued, documents can be delivered directly to the customer’s home, with same-day delivery options available when required.

For last-minute travellers, SAF has taken convenience even further: an urgently required document can be arranged for delivery directly to the airport, helping travellers get on their way with minimum disruption.

But the transformation goes beyond speed and convenience. SAF has also introduced a new QR-code verification and fraud-prevention system. The QR code links directly to the Federation’s official system, allowing issued documents and customer information to be verified securely. Records can be maintained for up to ten years, providing an additional layer of traceability, authenticity and protection against fraudulent documentation.
