His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of the Eastern Province, sponsored the activities of the second Traffic Safety Forum under the title “Traffic Safety: A National Partnership and Social Responsibility,” which will be held from the 1st to the 3rd of Muharram next month. The forum is organized by the Saudi Traffic Safety Society “Salamah” in cooperation with the University of Dammam, Saudi Aramco, the Traffic Safety Committee in the Eastern Province, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and the General Directorate of Traffic. An exhibition accompanying the occasion will also be held, with both the forum and exhibition taking place at the Sheraton Dammam Hotel.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify">Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rubaish, President of the University of Dammam and Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Second Traffic Safety Forum, explained the importance of addressing the issue of traffic accidents, praising the government’s direct and effective efforts in reducing and mitigating traffic accidents. He noted that traffic safety, as a social and collective responsibility and a national issue, requires the participation of all individuals and segments of society, as well as the cooperation of various government entities, companies, and associations. Each entity, through its roles and responsibilities, should contribute to strengthening the concept and spreading the culture of traffic safety among its employees and members of the local community through activities and programs based on participation, transparency, evaluation, and accountability. Accordingly, the forum received the approval of the Royal Court, along with the generous support of His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior, and special attention from the Governor of the Eastern Province and the Minister of Higher Education to deliver the association’s message.
