“‘Passports’ and ‘Traffic’ deny the implementation of linking the issuance of exit visas for visitors to the payment of traffic fines.”
The General Directorates of Passports and Traffic denied the information circulated yesterday regarding the implementation of a system linking the issuance of exit visas for visitors to the payment of traffic violations upon departure.
The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Passports in the Kingdom, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al-Luhaidan, confirmed that the service has not yet been implemented, noting that the Passports Department is keen to launch services in an organized manner for citizens, residents, and visitors alike.
Meanwhile, the official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Traffic stated, according to Al-Youm newspaper, that the information about implementing the linkage between the Passports and Traffic departments for the payment of traffic violations is not true at this time.
This comes despite the General Directorate of Passports issuing a circular to all ports to ensure their readiness for the implementation of the linkage system between Passports and Traffic, which indicates the possibility of the decision being implemented soon.”
